How to post in a community

Step by step instructions on how to create posts

Via the app

Method one: From the main menu.

  1. Click on the new post button in the main menu. It is the purple circle with the plus sign.

  2. Select "New post".

  3. Write a title for your post (optional) and the post content.

  4. Attach the photo of your preference by clicking on the image icon (also optional).

  5. Select the community in which you want to share the post through the drop-down menu. If you are an administrator or member of several groups you can select up to 3 communities at once.

  6. Click "Publish".

  7. That's it! Every member will receive a notification that you have published an update.

Method two: From a community (parish or group)

  1. Go to the profile of the community where you want to make a post.

  2. Click on the text box that says "Write a message to your community".

  3. Write a title for your post (optional) and the post content.

  4. Attach the photo of your preference by clicking on the image icon (also optional).

  5. Click "Publish".

  6. That's it! Every member will receive a notification that you have published an update.

Via desktop

  1. Log into your Tabella account on desktop by going to web.tabella.app

  2. Click on the community you wish to post to.

  3. Click on "Write a message to your community."

  4. Type your message in the text box. You can attach files by clicking the paper clip icon, or images by clicking the picture icon. You can disable comments by clicking the gear icon.

  5. Click "publish."

  6. That's it! Every member will receive a notification that you have published an update.

Troubleshooting: Post not appearing after publishing

If you tapped or clicked "Publish" and the post is not showing up in your community, try the following steps before contacting support:

  1. Check the correct community. When posting from the main menu, confirm you selected the right community in the drop-down. Posts can accidentally be sent to a different community.

  2. Go directly to the community profile. The post may not show in your general feed right away. Navigate to the specific community profile and look for your post there.

  3. Refresh the app. Pull down on the feed to refresh, or close and reopen the app entirely.

  4. Check posting permissions. Go to your community settings (Manage → Community Permissions) and confirm that "Allow members to post" is enabled. Note: even administrators should verify this setting is on.

Still not appearing? If you have tried all the steps above and the post is still missing, this is likely a technical issue with the app — not something you did wrong. Please contact our support team and include the following information so we can investigate:

  • The name of the community where you tried to publish

  • The approximate time and date you attempted to publish

  • Whether you used the app (iOS/Android) or the web version
