If you searched for your parish and it didn't show up, don't worry. It usually comes down to a small detail, like the name or the address you used.
1. Try the parish's official name
Many parishes are known locally by a short name or nickname, but they're registered on Tabella under their official name. For example, a parish people call "St. Mary's" might be registered as "Our Lady of the Assumption" or "St. Mary of the Immaculate Conception."
Try searching for:
The full official name of the parish, as it appears in your bulletin or diocesan directory.
Just one key word from the name, like "Assumption" or "Guadalupe."
The name of the city or neighborhood where the parish is located.
For step-by-step instructions, see How to find and follow a parish.
2. Check the address
If you're searching by address, make sure it's complete, including the street number. An address that's missing a number may not match the parish's location.
If searching by the full address still doesn't work, try searching by the street name or the city instead.
3. Turn on location for Tabella
Tabella uses your location to show parishes and communities near you, like on the Near me tab on the Home screen. If location is turned off, nearby parishes may not show up.
On iPhone (iOS)
Open the Settings app.
Tap Privacy & Security, then Location Services.
Make sure Location Services is turned on.
Scroll down and tap Tabella.
Choose While Using the App.
Make sure Precise Location is turned on for more accurate results.
On Android
Open the Settings app.
Tap Location and make sure Use location is turned on.
Go back to Settings and tap Apps, then Tabella.
Tap Permissions, then Location.
Choose Allow only while using the app.
Make sure Use precise location is turned on.
Menu names can vary a little depending on your phone's brand and Android version. If you can't find an option, search for "location" in your phone's Settings.
Once location is on, open Tabella again and tap Near me on the Home screen.
4. Look for a Parish Neighbors group
Some parishes are part of a Parish Neighbors group, which brings together several parishes in the same area. If your parish is part of one of these groups, it may not show up on its own when you search by name.
To find it, turn on location (see step 3) and search for your city or general area. You can also tap Near me on the Home screen to see the communities closest to you.
5. Your parish may not be on Tabella yet
If you've tried all of the above and still can't find it, your parish may not be on Tabella yet. Here's how to get it added.
If you work at the parish: You can create the community yourself. On the Home screen, tap Start Community and follow the steps to set up your parish. Learn more in How to create a community. If your parish is already on Tabella but no one manages it yet, you can claim your parish instead.
If you're a parishioner: Contact our support team and we'll add your parish. Tap your profile picture, then tap Get Help under Support. Please include the parish's full name, address, and city so we can find it quickly. For other ways to reach us, see How can I contact support?
You can also let your parish office know about Tabella for Parishes. It's a simple way for your parish to stay connected with its community.
