How to Change Your Community's Location

Your community's location helps people find your parish, ministry, or group, and know where to join you in person.

When it's turned on, the location appears on your community's page and in search results. You can update the address anytime, or hide it completely.

Change your community's location in the app

  1. Open Community Settings for your community.

  2. Under Community Info, tap Community Location.

  3. Make sure the Community Location switch at the top is on. It's purple when it's on.

  4. Fill in or update the address: Country, State, City, Address, and Zip code.

  5. Check the map preview to make sure the pin is in the right place.

  6. Tap Save Changes.

Your new location will now show on your community's page and in search results.

Change your community's location on the web

  1. Go to web.tabella.app and sign in.

  2. Open your community. On the community profile page, you'll find it under Community Info on the left.

  3. In the left menu, under Community Info, click Community Location.

  4. Make sure the Community Location switch at the top is on. It's purple when it's on.

  5. Type your address in the Search for an address... box on the map and choose it from the results. You can also drag the red pin or click anywhere on the map to set the location.

  6. Make sure the State field is filled in. It's required.
    ​

  7. Click Save Changes.

To leave without saving, click Cancel. To go back to your community, click Back to Feed.

Hide your community's location

If you'd rather not show where your community meets, you can hide the location.

In the app:

  1. Open Community Settings and tap Community Location.

  2. Tap the Community Location switch at the top so it turns gray.

  3. Tap Save Changes.

On the web:

  1. Open your community and click Community Location under Community Info in the left menu.

  2. Click the Community Location switch at the top so it turns gray.

  3. Click Save Changes.

Your location will no longer appear on your community's page or in search results.

Good to know

  • Can I edit the address while the location is hidden? No. The address fields can only be edited while the Community Location switch is on. Turn it on, make your changes, and tap Save Changes.

  • Will my address be saved if I hide the location? Hiding the location only stops it from being shown. To share it again later, turn the switch back on and check that the address is still correct before saving.
